Welcome David our new acupuncturist
About David
David has spent 9 years in the complementary health filed, first as a masseuse then in 2006 he qualified as an acupuncturist at The London College of Acupuncture. He is a full member of the British Council of Acupuncture who are the main regulating body of acupuncture. He has worked in central London at The Centre of Health but now with a family on the way he has moved to Folkestone to be closer to the lifestyle he is used to having grown up in New Zealand.
David uses a form of acupuncture taught by Ikeda Mazakasu a Japanese practitioner. He has found this style to be particularly good for westerners who are nervous about needles as it is a very gentle form of acupuncture.
He has also worked at the Hoxton Health Group which specialise in treatment for people over 60. He has also been a teaching assistant in point-location at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture.
Areas that David has found acupuncture to be particularly helpful are
Back, shoulder and neck pain
Fertility and general woman’s problems relating to period pain,
Headaches/migraines,
Emotional disturbances such as depression.
Unexplained conditions such as abnormal sweating or painful feet.
As acupuncture provides a different way of diagnosing problems many patients have found useful insights and relief from symptoms from acupuncture.
Feel free to call David to discuss how acupuncture may be able to help you.
